Objectives(Doelstellingen):

The Our Rule of Law Foundation aims to promote and protect the principles of democracy, the rule of law, and human rights across Europe and beyond. We focus on empowering young people and students to understand, appreciate, and advocate for these principles. By creating educational opportunities and platforms for active engagement, the foundation seeks to foster a culture of scholarship, policy advocacy, and active citizenship among young Europeans.

Activities carried out by the foundation:

  1. Educational programmes: Developing and providing educational resources and programmes on the principles of democratic governance and human rights.

  2. Research and advocacy: Conducting research on the state of democracy and human rights across Europe and developing proposals to address identified challenges.

  3. Workshops and seminars: Organising workshops, seminars, and conferences to facilitate discussion and learning among students and young professionals.

  4. Public awareness campaigns: Raising public awareness about the importance of a strong democratic rule of law.

  5. Legal assistance: Providing support for legal proceedings that aim to protect public interests and rights, including supporting other NGOs with similar objectives.

During the period covered by this policy plan, the foundation will continue to develop, explore, and where feasible implement projects aimed at engaging young Europeans in issues related to democracy, the rule of law, and human rights. These may include fellowship-style programmes, research initiatives, training trajectories, or other participatory formats. Where appropriate, outcomes such as reports, analyses, or educational materials will be made publicly available through the foundation's communication channels.
